Attorneys Benjamin C. Older and Michael L. Lundy
are proud to announce that Gary S. Weisman has been named a partner.  Effective today, OLDER & LUNDY, Attorneys at Law, has changed its name to OLDER, LUNDY & WEISMAN, Attorneys at Law.  With Mr. Weisman’s partnership, the firm has successfully expanded its practice into the areas of Personal Injury, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith, and Disability Insurance Claims.

“Ben and I have long hoped to expand the firm’s practice into areas that were complementary to our family law practice.  The demand for personal injury and insurance-related legal services continues to grow throughout the State of Florida and among our former clients.  Gary’s depth of knowledge and experience in these areas, his commitment to outstanding client service, and his personality made him a perfect fit as a partner of the firm and the leader of this new practice group,” said Michael Lundy, co-founding partner of OLDER, LUNDY & WEISMAN.

Before becoming the leader of the personal injury and insurance coverage practice group at OLDER, LUNDY & WEISMAN, Weisman worked at both Winkles Law Group, P.A. and Swope, Rodante, P.A. handling catastrophic injury claims and insurance coverage issues.  Weisman also was an associate in the insurance coverage group at Fowler White Boggs Banker.  He has served as lead counsel and co-counsel on numerous insurance bad faith, wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases.

It is also worth noting that he has represented both corporations and individuals against insurance companies that wrongfully denied claims.  Weisman routinely presents continuing legal education lectures throughout the state and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association and also on the Florida Justice Association Insurance Task Force.  He participates in law education programs in the Hillsborough County School District, including having coached several high school mock trial teams and served as a volunteer with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and the American Cancer Society.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University in 1996 and his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 1999.

“OLDER & LUNDY has experienced a lot of growth over the past several years and the addition of this new practice group is another big milestone for us.  We are especially proud of our growth given the state of the economy over the last couple of years, and we are truly grateful that Gary has joined the team.  Gary is a local to Tampa and has practiced here for over 10 years.  He has been essential to our firm’s expansion into personal injury and insurance bad faith.  His name belongs alongside OLDER & LUNDY,” said Benjamin Older, co-founding partner of OLDER, LUNDY & WEISMAN.
