Jennifer Meister

Jennifer F. Meister joined Older Lundy Koch & Martino in September 2016 as an attorney in the firm’s Marital and Family law practice group. In addition to dissolution of marriage and modification cases, Jennifer also handles dependency and termination of parental rights cases, including the complex issues that arise for licensed foster parents, relatives, and non-relative caregivers; adoptions; temporary relative custody cases; and guardian ad litem cases. My Experience

Jennifer Meister

Mrs. Meister began her legal career in 2010 as a clerk for the City Attorney of Traverse City in Michigan. In 2011, she moved to Florida and began working for the Department of Children and Families in the Children’s Legal Services division, where she prosecuted dependency and termination of parental rights cases and rose quickly to senior and supervisory roles as her passion for child advocacy grew. In 2013, she joined the Office of the Attorney General where she litigated complex cases involving dependency, termination of parental rights, domestic violence injunctions, adoption, and paternity matters. Jennifer also handled several complex termination of parental rights appeals as a senior member of the appellate team.

Mrs. Meister graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.

Mrs. Meister is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Family Law Division. She also serves on the Executive Committee for the Family Law Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and frequently serves as a Guardian ad Litem.  She was appointed to the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Grievance Committee, which exists to hold attorneys to high ethical standards. She currently serves on the committee for St. Joseph’s Hospital’s Heroes Ball raising funds and supporting the Pediatric Oncology Department.

Mrs. Meister has also held membership of the Stann W. Givens Family Law American Inn of Court of Tampa, Emerging Leaders Program with the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and Working Women of Tampa Bay.

In 2021, she was featured in 2021 as Tampa Metro Magazine’s “Face of Dependency Law”.  Mrs. Meister was a featured author in Lawyer Magazine for her article focusing on what to do if a child is removed by the State.

Jennifer was born and raised in Queens, New York. She currently resides in Riverview, Florida, with her husband and twin boys.
