Kim A. Maxwell, B.C.S. joined OLDER LUNDY KOCH & MARTINO in 2017 as a member of the firm’s Marital and Family Law practice group and the firm’s family law appellate practice group. Since beginning her law career, Kim has devoted her practice exclusively to marital and family law. She began at a boutique family law firm in South Tampa where she practiced for four years prior to joining OLDER LUNDY KOCH & MARTINO.

Kim A. (Hamill) Maxwell
She has successfully litigated dissolution of marriage, paternity, domestic violence and modification cases. Her background in finance as well as her M.B.A., provide her a unique ability to assist in complex financial matters. She is also trained in collaborative divorce assisting clients in resolving their disputes privately and out of court.
In 2017, Kim was one of only thirty attorneys in Florida selected as a fellow in the Florida Bar Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy. She was also selected by Super Lawyers Rising Stars® in Marital & Family Law in 2017 and has continued to receive this distinction annually. In 2020, Kim received the distinguished Best Lawyers in America® recognition for Marital and Family Law and has continued to receive this honor annually. Kim has been an active member of Are You Safe, Inc., a non-profit devoted to providing legal representation to victims of domestic violence.
Kim is an active member of the Stann W. Givens Family Law Inn of Court and Canakaris Inn of Court. She holds leadership positions with the Hillsborough County Bar Association Family Law Section, is a past member of the Young Lawyers Division and the Hillsborough County Bar Association for Women Lawyers. Kim is also involved in the Lawyers for Literacy Program, tutoring elementary school children in reading and reading comprehension skills in preparation for the FCAT.
Kim’s experience in family law began prior to law school when she interned in the Domestic Violence Division at Legal Aid of Palm Beach County. While in law school, she held intern positions with the Honorable Jack Helinger of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Family Law Division, Gulfcoast Legal Services Family Law Division and the Florida Office of the Attorney General Children’s Legal Services Division.
Kim graduated with her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Stetson University. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. She is Florida Bar Board Certified in Marital and Family Law.
Kim was born and raised in Chicago before moving to Palm Beach with her family. She currently resides with her husband in St. Pete Beach and enjoys boating with her family.
