Matthew Evans delivers practical and comprehensive advice to a select group of affluent clients on the efficient transmission of wealth, including estate planning, federal transfer taxation (gift, estate, and generation-skipping), charitable giving, and the formation, governance, and succession of family-owned and closely-held businesses.  Matthew also assists and represents fiduciaries in the administration of trusts and estates, as well as the preparation of federal gift and estate tax returns.

My Experience

Matthew Evans, J.D., LL.M.

Mr. Evans attended Jesuit High School of Tampa before receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa, where he received the Presidential Scholarship and graduated magna cum laude.  He subsequently obtained his juris doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of the Florida State Law Review, was named to the Order of the Coif, and graduated magna cum laude.  Mr. Evans then received his LL.M in taxation from the University of Florida College of Law and was a recipient of the Dorini Family Graduate Tax Scholarship.  Mr. Evans was previously a partner at the boutique tax law firm of Barnett, Bolt, Kirkwood, Long & Koche, and served as senior counsel in the Trusts & Estates practice group at Hill Ward Henderson, P.A.

Mr. Evans resides in South Tampa with his wife, two children, and a multitude of pets.
